CryptoSearch is a utility created by Michael Gillespie that allows you to clean up your computer of encrypted files and ransom notes from a ransomware infection. This tool identifies files encrypted by several types of ransomware families and provides the user with the option to copy or move the files to a new location, in hopes that a decrypter that can recover the locked files will be released in the future.
CryptoSearch is powered by Michael's ID-Ransomware site so that it is always up-to-date. At the time of this writing, CryptoSearch is able to search for and find files and ransom notes associated with 324 different ransomware infections.
